Dr. Manning's Story
After completing medical school at the University of Mississippi (1991), Dr. Michael Manning completed his internship at Methodist Hospital in Memphis, TN in 1992. The anesthesia residency program at Wake Forest is considered among the top anesthesia programs in the country. Dr. Manning completed his anesthesia and interventional pain residency at Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC in 1995. Since then, he has been in private practice in Jackson, MS. Dr. Manning is a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology and the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Michael Manning instituted the pain program at Methodist Hospital in Jackson, MS. He has a tradition of leadership, having served as president of Physicians Anesthesia Group at St. Dominic’s Hospital and as president of the Mississippi Society of Anesthesiologists.

Dr. Manning began his aesthetic training with Dr. Bruce Katz at the world-renowned Juva Skin and Laser Center in Manhatten, NY. Dr. Manning is a member of the following organizations:

Dr. Manning was trained in the management of venous disorders by Dr. John Kingsley- an international authority on vein disorders, at the Alabama Vascular and Vein Center in Birmingham, AL.

Dr. Manning is a Diplomate of the American Board of Phlebology and the American Board of Anesthesiology.

Dr. Manning founded Mississippi Vein Institute in 2008.
